Wilson Brown
A pupil of the late John MacKenzie, he won the Silver Medal at the Northern Meeting in 1979 and the Gold Medal in 1996. He won the A Grade Strathspey & Reel at Inverness in 1993.
A serving police officer with Strathclyde Police he was a member of the police pipe band when they won the World Pipe Band Championships in 1983,84,85,86,88.
He retired from solo competitions in 1996 and last played for the police pipe band in 2003.
