Tim Djursing
In 1997 at the age of 12, Tim started playing sidedrum in the now defunct Lochlann Pipe Band, before joining the Heather Pipes & Drums as a tenordrummer in 1999.
Tim joined The House of Edgar Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band in 2005, to play alongside Drum Major Jim Kilpatrick and tenordrummer Tyler Fry. In his first season, he took part in winning several major competitions, including the World Pipe Band Championship and was crowned Champion of Champion both as a band and drumcorps.
In the summer of 2007, he and the rest of the Shotts drumcorps, took part in the “Live Earth” show at Wembley Stadium, playing alongside various top artist such as, Queen-drummer Roger Taylor, Foofigher-drummer Taylor Hawkins and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
As a soloist, Tim has won numerous prizes in Nothern Europe as well as U.S.A.
Away from the band, Tim is a qualified tenor drumming adjudicator in Northen Europe and a regular instructor in both tenor drumming and percussion at workshops in all over Europe.
