Scott Nicholson
Born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Scott started playing drum kit when he was 11 years old. In 1992, at the age of 17, he joined the local Rob Roy Pipe Band to learn snare drumming where his father piped and his sister danced. He competed with Rob Roy for a few years before moving on in 1997 to become a member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders.
During his ten years with the 78th Frasers he played with leading drummers Michael Hunter, John Fisher and Drew Duthart. In recent years, Scott has also returned to the Rob Roy Pipe Band to play and compete as a piper. Scott lives in Kingston with his wife Heather (also a snare drummer and a highland dancer) and his son Callum.
