Lesley Shaw
I grew up in the village of Coalburn and was introduced to the Pipe Band by both my Grandpa, Bruce Shaw, and my Dad, Niven Shaw, who were drummers with Coalburn IOR Pipe Band. For years I followed the band and at the age of 11 became a tenor drummer with them. I’ve always stayed with Coalburn and still support them whenever I can.
In 2005 I helped to organise Piping Live and have been involved with the festival and the Piping Centre ever since. I now work on a number of festivals and events as well as looking after a Scottish and Indian collaboration called India Alba.
