Finlay Johnston
- I’m 22 years old and from Glasgow
- My grandfather, Alastair Sinclair from Tiree and my mother Anne Johnston started me on the chanter at the age of 8. Shortly after that I began receiving lessons from Ronnie McShannon and have continued to do so ever since.
- My mother was the 1st woman to win the Silver Medal
- My father played drums in Alex Duthart’s drum corps in the British Caledonian Pipe Band
- I won the Silver Medal in 2006
- Got 4th position in the Gold medal at Oban last year
- Played in the 52nd Lowland Rgt. and the 78th (Citadel) Highlanders pipe bands.
