Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band

Colin MacLellan was born in Dingwall in Ross-shire but grew up in Edinburgh where he now lives with his wife Jenny Hazzard, also a piper in the Spirit of Scotland Pipe Band. He spent twenty two years from 1977 to 1999 in Ontario, Canada.

Band experience includes stints in the Grade One City of Toronto Pipe Band (P/M Bill Livingstone), as Pipe Major of the Glengarry Pipe Band from 1986 to 1996, the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band (P/M Bill Livingstone) and as Pipe Major of the Lothian and Borders Police Pipe Band from 2000 to 2005, and now with Spirit of Scotland.

A double Gold Medallist, he retired from solo competition in 2007 and looks forward to another band career with the Spirit of Scotland.
